WUFI Pro – hygrothermal building component simulation, 16th of June 14 – 17 h

Place: Palaestra et Odeum, Room 105

Hygrothermal Simulations according to EN 15026 are state of the art and allow a realistic prediction of the moisture and energy performance of building components.

Simulation tools are used for moisture control design of systems and assemblies with regard to any climate exposure or operation. Considering typical imperfections (rain water leakages, air infiltration) improves the moisture tolerance of the components. Damage analysis helps to identify who is to blame for the failure – the architect or the installer.

WUFI Plus – hygrothermal whole building simulation, 19th of June 9 – 12:15 h

Place: Palaestra et Odeum, Room 105

Hygrothermal whole building simulation combines building energy simulation with interaction of building, user and HVAC system and hygrothermal component simulation. The hygrothermal whole building simulation software WUFI Plus is used to model the combined effect of heat and moisture performance of the building envelope and the whole building on energy demand, comfort conditions and the moisture control design of asseblies under varying climate and operation conditions. Questions like how moisture conditions affect the energy performance or what ventilation rates are required to prevent damage can be answered.
